Strata Modul Launches Open Call for Volunteer Program

by Lena Vasile on March 27, 2026

The initiative invites applications from students, emerging cultural practitioners, and professionals interested in gaining insight into exhibition-making, event production, and the day-to-day mechanics of a contemporary art institution. Volunteers will work closely with the Strata Modul team across a range of areas, including exhibition installation, public programming, communications, research, and audience engagement.

Positioned as more than a support function, the Volunteer Program is conceived as a formative environment—one that prioritizes learning, responsibility, and active participation. Participants will be integrated into the gallery’s workflow, contributing to exhibitions, events, and recurring programs such as Re/Verse, Standing Waves, and Nogaku, while developing practical skills and professional awareness within a real-time cultural context.

“Cultural institutions are built not only by artists and curators, but by the ecosystems that sustain them,” said Strata Modul. “This program is an invitation to step inside that ecosystem—to understand how ideas become exhibitions, how programs are constructed, and how audiences are engaged.”

Volunteers will have the opportunity to build connections within Strata Modul’s network of artists, curators, and collaborators, while gaining exposure to interdisciplinary practices at the intersection of art, science, and technology. The program is structured to encourage initiative and curiosity, offering participants a meaningful role in the gallery’s evolving program.
