Her main artistic medium is drawing on paper, through which she approaches topics about intimacy, the body, the relationship between the individual and the collective sphere. Interested in the connection between art and pedagogy, Diana Vasilescu began a teaching career at the Waldorf Free Middle School.

Over time, she has held creative workshops with multiple themes addressed to children of different age categories. She has held workshops on monotype, linocut, bookbinding and illustration, but she has also approached painting, drawing and modeling themes, making a foray into art history and working with children of different ages on topics of interest to them.
